Virtual Vet Manager is the flagship application within the Veterinary Management Online Suite of Products.

Disaster Recovery Models
(VMO maintains a multiple physical location model, meaning that VMO has redundant server farms in very different geographic locations that can take over full operations at any given moment. This means that VMO operations cannot be harmed by a geographically limited disaster (such as a tornado, hurricane, flood, power outage, etc.) So VMO members can rest assured that their data s not only safe but they will be able to get to it.)

(If a member needs a specialized report, all they have to do is put in a request. Turn around time is usually within 24 hours.)

VMO Benefit Typical Competitor Solution
Software is part of monthly service fee. All software updates and phone support are part of monthly fee in addition to data management (backups, custom queries, etc.) Competitors typically charge separately for software, upgrades, and tech support. As far as data management, most competitors simply have no solution. They leave it up to the customer to backup and manage their own data. Thus, they offer no solid recovery plan after a disaster.
Quarterly software updates are released simultaneously to VMO's entire membership community. After a simple "wizard style' update process, typically taking 2-3 minutes, members are up and running with the latest software updates. Other software vendors send out an update via CD or if they are really progressive will allow clients to download and configure the updates from their web sites. At any given moment, competitors have to support a cornucopia of different software releases. This often results in more error prone software and troublesome tech support which all leadsto poor customer satisfaction.
DATA SECURITY & MANAGEMENT - Since VMO hosts all member critical data on its centralized secure server farms, data can be managed much the same way large corporations manage and report on their critical data. Daily backups are part of VMO's standard operating procedures. The data is flowed to multiple VMO secure server farms to further backup the data. Therefore, if anything should happen to your facility or your PC(s) should crash, you can rest assured that your critical data is safe and unharmed. Competitors typically but the burden of data backup/recovery on their clients. How often do you backup your data now? Do you really want that burden?
Custom Queries\Reports - periodically a VMO member needs a specialized report specific to its needs. Since VMO has instant real-time access to all of its member's data, we can easily create and produce specialized queries/reports usually within 24 hours of an initial request. Most competitors do not have access to your data, let alone real-time access. Thus, they can offer no equivalent solution.
Multiple Location Support - Because member data is hosted on VMO's server farms, multiple locations and real-time access to various locations within a membership are inherently available. Competitors that due offer multi-location support often due so by jury-rigged solutions (such as VPNs or by utilizing products such as PC Anywhere or Microsoft Netmeeting), which result in very slow response times. In addition, these types of solutions are not always intuitive to the typical staff member.
